On the second night of the Festival we had the opportunity to listen to the piano duo Gereg Sisters. The program included Brahms’ Sonata for two pianos in F minor, Op. 34/b and a four-hand piano transcription of Ravel’s famous symphonic work La Valse. In the four movements of Brahms’ composition, the piano duo Gereg Sisters built a very expressive melodic phrase, developing the musical form of each movement completely spontaneously and logically.
