Opening concert of the 7th Festival

The 7th International festival of chamber music Convivium Musicum was officially opened last night at the Hall of First Kragujevac Gymnasium. Due to the new circumstances, with fewer visitors in the hall, and more cameras and online audience, the specificity of this year’s Festival is reflected in its live streaming – with double artistic potential, both musical and media.
On behalf of the organizers of the Festival, the audience was addressed by Jovana Radovanović, President of the Association of Citizens “CONVIVIUM MUSICUM” and the manager of the Festival. After encouraging words, the Festival was opened with the concert of the vocal group Constantine from Nis.
The program of the first part of the concert was dedicated to the spiritual works of Russian and Serbian authors, while the second part consisted of secular compositions from our region. Nine male voices on the stage sang choral music with a very strong belief and feeling. The first part of the concert was marked by light tempo compositions, which were sung, pronounced, and well thought out. All of this is interpreted and designed in such a way that the main impression is actually the deep feeling of the melodic lines. In the second part of the program, Mokranjac’s “Prva rukovet” sounded special in their interpretation, exciting in gradations, magical with great contrasts between songs, as well as the folk song Ajde Jano.
Although unusual, the beginning of this year’s Festival sounded great. We are sure that the next two concerts will leave such an impression too.
