Pavel Kachnov is opening Concert season

The Concert season “Convivium Musicum 17/18” starts on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Successful young pianist Pavel Kachnov will perform at the opening ceremony in the hall of the First Kragujevac Gymnasium from 20h.

Pavel Kachnov is born in Ukraine, and to Kragujevac he will come from one of the world’s capitols of classical music, Vienna, where he works as a professor at the prestigious Prayner Conservatory. He has built a very successful career of a concert pianist. As a soloist, with orchestras and as a member of chamber ensembles he performed all over the world. Also, he has won a significant number of awards at prominent international pianist competitions.

A long and rich performance career, with a large number of awards and recognitions won, is a guarantee that the audience in Kragujevac will enjoy the performance of this exceptional pianist.

Biography: Pavel Kachnov

He gained his music education at the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music in Kiev. Since 2009, he has been working on a postgraduate degree at the University of Musik und Performing Arts in Vienna, in prof. O.Maisenberg’s class.
He is a holder of first place prizes from the A. Karamanov and “Syniy ptah” international competitions held in Ukraine; from the 8th Int. Piano Competition “Villa de Capdepera”, Spain; the Prokofiev International Competition and S. Taneev International Competition (both held in Russia).
During the period from 2006 to 2012, he made numerous concert tours in Germany, Poland, Spain, Ukraine and Switzerland with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine and the Symphonic Orchestra of the Balearic Islands (Spain). In 2009 he made his conducting debut in the Great Hall of the Kiev National Philharmonic.
2014 he won the 2nd place at Delia Steinberg Piano Competition (Spain) and the 3rd places at “Neue Sterne” Piano Competition (Germany) and Parnasoss Piano Competition (Mexico). In 2016 Pavlo Kachnov won the 1st prize at the “Città di Cantù” International Piano and Orchestra Competition, Italy (category – romantic concert) and 2017 the 2nd prize (category – classical concert). 2017 he won 1st award and public award from Concours International de Piano de Lyon.
Pavlo Kachnov often performs as a soloist and a member of chamber ensembles. Since 2014 Pavlo Kachnov is professor at Prayner Konservatorium in Vienna.
