The String Quartet “Vollmond” performs at the December concert
After an unusual combination of piano and percussion, we return to ‘good old classics’. On the scene of the First Kragujevac Gymnasium, four artists will appear again, but this time in the form of a string quartet. The concert season „Convivium Musicum“ will continue on December 15th with the performance of Vollmond ensemble.
The String Quartet Vollmond is composed of Milana Bjelobaba – violin, Luna Kostadinovic – violin, Aleksandra Kijanovic – viola and Pavle Savic – cello. Since its formation in 2015, the Quartet had a large number of performances throughout the country and in the region. Members of the ensemble, young and successful professionals, continually strive to perfect their skills in the field of chamber music, working with renowned artists and members of world famous quartets.
At the concert in Kragujevac, ensemble will present to the audience the pearls of classical music and literature for string quartets. The program is:

L. v. Beethoven – String Quartet Op. 59, no. 7, Razumovsky
The concert will be held with the support of the City of Kragujevac and other friends of the event. The entry is free, and the start is scheduled for 20 hours. Welcome!

String Quartet Vollmond is composed of young professional musicians from Serbia: Milana Bjelobaba − violin, Luna Kostadinovic − violin, Aleksandra Kijanovic − viola and Pavle Savic − cello. Since its foundation in 2015, the Quartet has held numerous concerts in Serbia, Montenegro, such as: opening the “Take Over” season at the Kolarac Gallery, concert at the Solidarity Gallery, the Pima Palace in Kotor and the Peraste museum, at opening of “VII Festival of Strings” in the Cathedral of St. Tripun in Kotor, “Festival of the Mediterranean Theater of Purgatoria” in Tivat, the “VIII Festival of Strings” in the Church of St. Pavle in Kotor, a concert at the Cultural Center “Budo Tomović” in Podgorica 2017, and also 2018 within the cycle of the “Composers from shadow”, a concert at the Museum of the City Zrenjanin, at the Institute for Culture of Vojvodina in Novi Sad (within a series of concerts devoted to contemporary music), followed by performances in Zeist, Amsterdam, Zaltbommel within Zeister Muziekdagen festival in Holland. In July 2018, the Quartet performed at the Ljubljana Festival, representing the Triple Bridge European Career Center for Artists, in cooperation with the Branimir Slokar Academy, whose alumni ensemble members are. Vollmond Quartet had the opportunity to improve on courses of eminent artists such as Arkadij Winokurow (Austria), Mikhail Bereznitsky (Russia), Jorg Winkler (Germany), Anton Martinov (France). As scholars, the festival Zeister Muziekdagen in 2016, 2017 and 2018 co-operated with members of Quiroga Quartet (Spain), Casals Quartet (Spain), Emerson String Quartet (USA), Jerusalem String Quartet (Israel), Robert Kulek, Valentin Erben (from Alban Berg Quartet), Marcin Sieniawski (Szimanovsky Quartet). Milana and Luna are permanent members of the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra in Podgorica at the position of the first violins, while Aleksandra and Pavle are engaged in pedagogical work in Belgrade. All of them are members of the Muzikon Chamber Orchestra in Belgrade (a new multimedia ensemble that promotes an innovative approach to the classical music scene in Serbia), as well as the Ljubljana International Orchestra. Love for this chamber form and deep dedication kept a constant desire for improvement and continuous work, and in three years of existence, this Quartet has found a place on the chamber scene of the country they originate from.
