On Thursday, September 23, we close the 8th International Chamber Music Festival Convivium Musicum. As the Festival opened with the performance of the Festival Ensembles Convivium Musicum, we will round off this year’s festival story in the same way.
On the last evening of the Festival, a piano quartet and a piano quintet will perform, composed by artists from Lithuania and Serbia. The ensembles aremade of artists already presented to the audience at the beginning of the festival: Morta Grigaliunaite – Lithuanian pianist whose performance, in addition to regular performances, can be heard on her extraordinarily well-received first album “Piano Works by Gražina Bacevič”, and domestic performers Filip Tomić – Kragujevac award-winning cellist, Jana Stojanović – a successful violinist from Belgrade, as well as extraordinary violinists Tijana Milaković and Mina Dinić. The third evening of the 8th International festival of chamber music Convivium Musicum, which will be held on Wednesday, 22nd September, will mark the performance of the Belgrade Trio (Serbia).
The Belgrade trio are Dušan Panajotović (violin), Ivan Jarić (cello) and Igor Dražević (piano). Ensemble was founded in 2015 with the desire to preserve the memory of the eponymous trio founded back in 1964. These young and promising artists were awarded at many festivals, and they are also engaged as associates in performing works by students of composition, with which they strive to popularize contemporary Serbian music. On the second evening of the 8th International festival of chamber music Convivium Musicum, on Tuesday, 21st September, the audience will be introduced to the versatile international ensemble – Cologne Guitar Quartet (Germany).
Founded in 2014, the Cologne Guitar Quartet, is formed by musicians Ptolemaios Armaos (Greece), Tobias Juchem (Germany), Henrique Almeida (Portugal) and Tal Botvinik (Israel). Although they come from different parts of Europe, these multi award-winning performers are developing a common artistic path from the class of Professor Roberto Ausell, from the prestigious The Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (Germany). Monday, 20th September will mark the beginning of the 8th International festival of chamber music Convivium Musicum. We are opening this year’s Festival with the performance of the Festival ensembles Convivium Musicum.
On the first evening of the Festival, the audience will have the opportunity to hear a clarinet quintet and a piano sextet made up of performers from Portugal, Lithuania and Serbia. These specific ensembles consist of: Morta Morta Grigaliūnaitė – an exceptional Lithuanian pianist whose artistic work consists of many solo concerts and performances in chamber ensembles, Joao Paiva – internationally awarded clarinettist from Portugal, as well as Filip Tomić – cello, Jana Stojanović – viola, already known to the local audience, and Tijana Milaković and Mina Dinić – violin, all multi award-winning artists with a rich performing career. With particular pleasure and with a great dose of pride, we are announcing this year’s, eighth edition of our Festival, which from this year can boast with the status of a permanent event of importance for the city of Kragujevac. The 8th International festival of chamber music Convivium Musicum will be held at the Hall of the First Kragujevac Gymnasium, from September 20th to 23rd.
