In the series of the Concert season „Convivium Musicum 16/17“, young artist from China was presented to the Kragujevac audience in November – Tian Jianan, a student of accordion and composition in Beijing. She is the winner of the largest international awards which for the first time entered the musical cultural heritage of China, and for this she was honoured with the award of the Ministry of Culture of that country. The concert took place on November 9th at the hall of the First Kragujevac Gymnasium. Tian Jianan began with the piece composed by J. S. Bach, Prelude and fugue in f sharp minor and with the deep-drawn baroque style captured the attention of the audience. By combining two different epochs, crisp, but musically remarkable, she played the Jeux D’anches by M. Linberg.
The third movement of Samuel Barber’s Sonata for piano inspired this young artist to introduce elements of charming play in interpretation of this composition. Through the performance of Sonata for the piano of Igor Stravinsky (I and III movement), we could see the intellectual strength and technical expressiveness of Tian Jianan. Work Highway for one composed by A. Holszky and great sound effects gave Tian Jianan the ability to show all the effects this instrument has to offer in experimental music. The audience rewarded this performance with huge applause. Sequenza VIII is another composition by L. Beria through which she showed with what certainty the artist reaches all tone shades that easily connect with the virtuoso sections. In Barcarolle by Sergei Rachmaninoff, thanks to her fantastic conducting of the registry, she showed us all the fairness of this piece. The national music of the composer B. Yuankai, Stories from the Lands of Ancient Yan and Zhao finished this artistic evening that the Kragujevac’s audience will remember. Chromatic etude by Muskovsky, performed on encore, once again convinced us that Tian Jianan is on the way of a brilliant artistic career.
